PRESS RELEASE: DOLLYWOOD’S DREAMMORE RESORT REACHES CONSTRUCTION MILESTONE

drewmmoreConstruction crews today placed the final spire atop Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort’s entrance tower marking an important milestone for the stunning 307-room property which opens summer 2015 next door to Dollywood’s award-winning theme parks. Officials also announced the first two members of the resort’s management team.

During today’s topping out ceremony, crews finished the last major project on the resort’s iconic outside profile. Attention now will focus inward as construction continues on the property’s spacious guest rooms and family-friendly public areas.

Women Sues Busch Gardens over Howl-O- Scream

A pregnant women visiting the Busch Gardens Williamsburg Park two years ago is suing after being mowed down by a crowd of people running from a scaractor with a chain saw. The women identified as Brittany Lipscomb is suing for 25,000 two years after the incident. Brittany is suing for serious injuries to herself and emotion distress to her unborn child who in the lawsuit never says if was injured.  Brittany says that by hiring actors to chase people with chain saws the park created a reckless environment.The women original filed two case in state courts in Virginia that now have been moved to the federal court system in Richmond VA. court filing Filling 2

Sharknado 3 coming to Orlando

Sharknado is back. Coming in the summer of 2015 Sharknado will return and its target has been announced. Sharknado 3 will travel from the capital of Washington DC to Orlando Florida. It looks like its final Target before being neutralized will be Universal Studios Orlando.

1 Killed 22 injured Durrng Haunt event at Farm in Maine

A 17 year old female was killed and 22 were injured when the Mechanic Falls Maine hayride they were riding on flipped. The Hayride lost control and went down a steep hill and into a tree according to police. The 23 where attending Gauntlet Haunted Night Rides, which is a Halloween Themed event held on Harvest Hills Farms. This was the 5th season of the event and up until this year there have been no injuries according to the farms owners. The driver of the hay ride was pulling the wagon with an SUV and holds a Commercial Driver’s License according to a Maine State police Spokesperson. The state fire marshal and the state police are investigating the incident and believe that a mechanical defect caused the accident.

The Gauntlet was described as not your run of the mill haunted hayride and will scare the socks off you. The ride was open Thursday –Sunday nights and lasted about 20 minutes.

High School Musical’s Corbin Bleu Gets Engaged at Disney World

Corbin Bleu of Disney’s High School Musical Movies proposed to his girlfriend Sasha Clements in front of Cinderella’s Castle during fireworks. According to Bleu’s reps on October 14,2014 he proposed by slipping the ring into a glass slipper during the fireworks show.   Corbin 25 and Sasha 24 have been dating since 2011 meeting in a Toronto grocery story.

New Details about Dubai’s Mega Theme Park Area.

Dubai’s Dubai Parks and Resorts just announced a deal with Sony Pictures to bring a Sony Studios and Smurf Zone too complex to the resort. The new zones are set to open in the Motiongate park that is under development. The parks are set to included 12 attractions from movies including Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, Hotel Transylvania, Ghostbusters, The Green Hornet, Underworld, Zombieland, and The Smurfs. Park CEO Raed Al Nuaimi was pleased with the quality of movies and characters they will be able to add with the announcement of the deal with Sony Pictures. Currently the park is set to open in 2016 with the first three zones of the 4 million square feet at an estimated cost of Dhs10 billion.

Six Flags announces 4th quarter dividends

Six Flags board of directors increased the dividends to its shareholders for the 4th quarter of 2014. The board approved increasing the dividend by $0.05 from $0.47 to $0.52. The Company attributes this to a strong momentum. This is an 11 percent increase overall for the last 5 years with five straight years of increases.

Six Flags had revenue of 1.1 billion from its 18 parks in the US, Canada and Mexico. Six Flags is the largest regional theme park company.
