Jackass Star Fined For YouTube Stunt

steveo

Steve-O from Jackass fame has been charged with a traffic infraction and fined for defacing a freeway sign in San Diego California. In May of 2014 Steve-O climbed a freeway sign that directed people to SeaWorld San Diego, and wrote “SUCKS” next to the parks name. He later posted a YouTube video of himself committing the crime. Monday he was issued a traffic citation for $239 and lawmakers argue he was a distraction to other drivers who could have caused an accident.

Meanwhile SeaWorld Entertainment stocks traded at an all time low midday Tuesday trading as low as $16.09 a share. The theme park and entertainment company has been on a down slope since November 12th when the company released its latest earnings data.

SeaWorld Orlando Introduces Express Dine Feature

seaworld logo

SeaWorld Orlando recently introduced Express Dine at its Seaport Pizza eatery to help cut wait times, especially during the busiest time of the year. An industry-pioneering feature, Express Dine is solely accessible from the SeaWorld Discovery Guide park app, furthering the app’s interactivity and maximizing its technology to allow guests to order lunch or dinner in advance.

By accessing the SeaWorld app from their smartphone, guests have the option to select from any of Seaport Pizza’s family-style pizzas, salads and soft drinks from anywhere in the park. Following the order, guests choose their preferred pick-up time and can then stop by to enjoy their meal at their convenience.

Express Dine is designed to maximize convenience for families by allowing them to plan their meals ahead of time in a fun, interactive and user-friendly way. With this new feature, families can expect shorter wait times so they can make the most of their day in the park.

Seaport Pizza

Seaport Pizza serves delicious pizza baked to perfection for rich taste and texture featuring only the freshest ingredients, including sun-ripened tomatoes, fresh herbs, pepperoni and sausage. This is a great one-stop-shop to satisfy every member of the family.

SeaWorld Discovery Guide Park App

The SeaWorld Discovery Guide mobile app saves guests time and increases their enjoyment through GPS-enabled interactive maps, real-time updates of show schedules and events, up-to-the-minute attraction wait times (with information on required heights), insider park tips, fun photo frames, and park notifications.

The SeaWorld Discovery Guide app can be downloaded for free from the Apple or Google Play app stores.

PRESS RELEASE: HOLIDAY WORLD HIGHLIGHTED IN EPISODE OF ALL-AMERICAN AMUSEMENT PARKS

Holiday World may be closed for the season, but fans can tune in to see the park featured in this week’s episode of “All-American Amusement Parks” on the Great American Country channel.

This new travel show is hosted by J.D. Scott, one of the “Scott brothers” featured on several HGTV shows. Scott visited Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari in August along with a family of park fans from Lexington, Kentucky.

J.D. Scott, Santa and friends at Holiday World“When the producers asked us to post on our Facebook page that they were looking for a ‘super-fan with a deep connection to the park,’ they were amazed to immediately receive many hundreds of emails,” says park president Matt Eckert. “Ultimately, they selected Gwen Lehmkuhler – who worked here seasonally as a teenage back in the 1990s – and two of her children to introduce Holiday World to J.D. Scott and the viewing audience.”

While at Holiday World, Scott and the Lehmkuhlers visited with Santa Claus and then rode Mammoth, the world’s longest water coaster, plus HallowSwings and The Voyage wooden roller coaster. Scott, who’d spent his summer visiting dozens of amusement parks for his show, declared The Voyage to be his favorite wooden roller coaster.

Great American Country satellite and cable TV channel is available in more than 62 million U.S. households. The “Themed Parks” episode of All-American Amusement Parks will premiere this Thursday at 8pm ET (7pm CT) and will air again on Friday at midnight plus Saturday at 4:30pm ET.
