New for 2015 Dorney Park announces “Cedar Creak Flyers” Manufactured by Larson International in Plainview, Texas.

Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom, the center of summer fun and family entertainment in the Lehigh Valley, will be adding a new family ride, barbeque dining experience and All Season Dining program for season passholders as part of its plan for the 2015 season.

The Cedar Creek Flyers will be added to the lower section of the park across from Stinger. This unique experience is an updated version of a classic thrill ride. Riders will sit in one of eight “eagles” suspended from arms 28 feet in the air. As the ride spins, the eagles will swing outward – and riders have the unique opportunity to control their flight experience from mild to wild!

VIDEO: Two Videos From The Bronx Zoo

The Legend stopped by the Bronx Zoo over the summer and took these two videos:

Go for a ride on the Dinosaur Safari Ride at the Bronx Zoo. I went the ride this past summer (2014) for a simple trip on a wagon past animatronic dinosaurs. Dinosaur Safari, Mysteries Revealed

Go for a ride on the Bengali Express Wild Asia Monorail at the Bronx Zoo. This ride that has been a cornerstone attraction at the park for years is located in the Wild Asia section of the zoo. This is one of my favorite things to do at any zoo I’ve ever been to, enjoy.

VIDEO: All Rides Gone From Old Town USA

Drew The Intern popped into Old Town USA in Kissimmee, Florida to check out the deconstruction of their rides. In a complete shock he finds nothing but an empty parking lot. Only the ticket booths remained from the once small amusement park.

It is very creepy looking without the rides. Check out the video below!

Maelstrom Closing Day Memories

The decision making process behind closing an attraction is probably way more involved than most people on the internet realize. I for one hope it is a complicated long process so I can feel certain the parks make the right Decision. Maelstrom last week received the ax, shut its doors, turned off its control panels, and said goodbye to the awkward tree troll thing. The reason behind this, Maelstrom will be transformed into a Frozen attraction filled with all the songs from the movies as well as everyone’s favorite snowman Olaf.

New Show Coming to Cedar Point

Midnight Syndicate Live

Cedar Point announces a new show, “Midnight Syndicate LIVE! Legacy of Shadows”, coming to Halloweekends in the “Ghoul Time Theater” a Halloween play on words for the Good Time Theater. The show will run Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays now through November 1st. Tony Clark Director of Communications sent us this press release.

“Guests visiting Cedar Point for HalloWeekends already know about the park’s scream-inducing haunted houses and outdoor fright zones. But this year, guests are screaming just a little louder thanks to the new “Midnight Syndicate LIVE! Legacy of Shadows” show in the Ghoul Time Theatre.

Ohio’s own Edward Douglas and Gavin Goszka, of Midnight Syndicate, have been delighting fans worldwide with their Halloween music albums for almost two decades. Performing in front of a live audience for the first time ever, they have created a whole new legion of fans thanks to their multimedia horror concert at HalloWeekends. Known for producing “gothic horror fantasy soundtracks for the imagination,” these Halloween music maestros blend instrumental music, sound effects, eerie videos and on-stage adventures, taking audiences on a spell-binding journey that mesmerizes and features an ending that is both unexpected and terrifying.

“My family and I came to Cedar Point often when I was growing up, so having the opportunity to be a part of HalloWeekends has been a thrill for me personally,” said Ed Douglas. “I feel our show complements the other incredible live entertainment at HalloWeekends by offering something a little different. If you enjoy haunted houses and the spookier side of Halloween, then the Midnight Syndicate LIVE! show is perfect for you!”

Cedar Point was actually one of the first theme parks to begin using Midnight Syndicate music for atmosphere, both in the park and in its haunted houses, when the band formed back in 1998.

Guests with no fear of the dark can experience this outstanding show at Cedar Point’s Ghoul Time Theatre on Friday nights (7:30, 9 and 10:30 p.m.), Saturdays (6, 7:30, 9 and 10:30 p.m.) and Sundays (2, 4 and 6 p.m.) now through Saturday, Nov. 1.
