We Have Theme Park Mgmt Degrees

The title is no joke, all three of us on today have theme park mgmt degrees. We break from normal show format to have Josh Liebman from the AttractionPros Podcast return to the podcast after 11 years to share stories and answer questions about what it was like attending UCF’s Rosen College of Hospitality and earning theme park mgmt degrees. Yes, RCT was a final exam. Josh also opened Hard Rock Park so we press him for details on that interesting park.

Elsa said say hi to the elephants

With half the team traveling some special guests are brought in to talk about everything from seeing Batman at the zoo to help us argue over some nerdy coaster details.

The Double EP Podcast

A 3 hour podcast this week covering all the crazy offseason news from sinking boats to overpriced waterparks. Hyde teamed up with Parkscope Joe since both Parkscope and In The Loop have been inactive lately… when they couldn’t decide which platform to put the podcast one they decided to split it in half. This is the second half to the 3 hour episode. Look up Parkscope to hear Part 1.

Deep In The Heart Of Texas

The podcast literally has nothing to do with Texas other than 5 seconds, but hopefully that title has you singing the song in your head now. You’re welcome. Longtime friend of the show Parkscope Joe comes on, using this as a platform to promote his latest shows before we dive into amusement park news from around the globe.

If Santa Liked Your Park

Legend is back with his review of Rise of the Resistance (no spoilers). What happens when Hyde and Legend play the role of Santa at your local park? We talk adding rides or changing policies at a bunch of parks across the country. Spoiler alert… sometimes we opted for more booze over more rides.

No shame in admitting this is a filler episode

Don’t write this episode off just yet… some news is covered so regardless you’ll want to tune in for at least that. Otherwise, since there has been zero news Hyde invited his long-time friend Bryan (Twitter: @rockceratops) on the show to talk international coaster trips. No, don’t worry, this is not a trip report podcast, but rather they swap stories, highlights and mistakes from their trips to Europe, Japan, Mexico, and the Middle East.

The One Without Rise Of The Resistance

Legend is back and well the plan was to review Rise of the Resistance but that didn’t happen so naturally we talk about the next biggest topic – what happens when a major theme park fails to pay their power bill and got shut down. Hype level for Iron Gwazi is sky-high after Legend visited BGT this week, we predict if the massive London park will actually get built, ferris wheel water slides, listener questions and more.

IAAPA & Parkscope

Hyde dials up Parkscope Joe to talk a little bit about everything but also a lot about IAAPA. Naturally when you get the two of them together a lot is said about drinks, which begs the question what would the the In The Loop signature drink?

The Great Six Flags Debate

With it being a slower news week – as in there was no real news – Kenny and Hyde turn the episode into one giant topic: ranking the Six Flags parks. While you might be able to guess how some of the list shakes out (spoiler alert: America is not #1) there are a few surprises along the way.
